Hand embroidery and adornment designer Harriet Frances creates bespoke accessories. Combing the traditional techniques learnt during her studies with skills developed whilst working with a variety of jewellery and fashion designers, her flamboyant designs showcase her love for colour, texture and embellishment.
Graduating from the Royal School of Needlework in 2014, Harriet began freelancing whilst setting up her own practice. She undertakes private commissions and continues to work as a freelance embellishment and embroidery designer for brands including Alexander McQueen and is proud to have collaborated with The New Craftsmen for Burberry Makers House. More recently, the chance to work in the Middle East as a consultant for Turquoise Mountain Arabia was an opportunity not to miss. Based in Saudi Arabia, Harriet is now senior project Manager for the non-govermental organisation reviving handicrafts and in turn providing artisans with financial and economic security.
Supported by The Prince's Trust, Harriet received the Creative Careers Award in collaboration with Cockpit Arts 2016 and a golden medallion from The Worshipful Company of Girdlers' for her contribution to embroidery.
